Dekton® , a Techno Porcelain , is a new and innovative material using an exclusive Particle Sintering Technology (PST) manufacturing process combining a sophisticated mixture of the raw materials used in the production of latest-generation porcelain tiles and quartz surfaces.
The press used in the ultra-compaction process has a capacity of 25,000 tons, six times more than what was previously regarded as the world’s largest press. In addition, the heat used in the process results in a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, making it thermal shock proof from both extreme heat and extreme cold. In real terms, this makes it highly scratch resistant and hot pots and pans can be placed directly on the surface without any danger or harm.
